Enter the Node 2022

ETN is a media archaeology and film project. In the heart of it lies an old very rare MOOG Model 2 analog synthesizer that once served the electronic music pioneer, Josef Tal. The project combines academic research and artistic practices that aims to reconstract the instrument, uncover the poetic current that flows in it's veins and to unearth the pioneering history it holds within.
Mysteriously, the 1969 hand made synth’s traces disappeared for three decades until it was rediscovered in a forgotten storage space at the Hebrew University in 2021.  ETN is a documentary film following the process of reverse engineering and developing the practice needed for getting the device up and running. In this 8 hour long film the fly on the wall illusion is repeatedly shattered by unexpected camera movements that deconstruct the films form and reveals the performative nature of the filmaking process.
